Avon Valley Black Dog Day

Black Dog Ride began in 2009 as one man’s ride to raise awareness of depression, developing into national suicide prevention charity involving thousands of Australian motorcycle riders who’ve raised over $2,200,000 for mental health services, fostering mental health awareness around the country.

 

Toodyay Music Festival

Toodyay Music Festival is a free community event with stages in Duidgee and Stirling Parks for bands and various other performers including Another Fine Mess, The Blue Hornets and the finale being The Australian Beatles tribute band and Jumping Jack Flash Rolling Stones tribute band. Enjoy classical and easy listening music at St Stephens Church & the streets will be lined with buskers, with food and drinks available and stalls selling music festival wares.

 

Moondyne Joe Festival

Toodyay’s colonial festival celebrates the life of the infamous bushranger, Moondyne Joe. The locals dress in 1800 century costume and encourage everyone to dress in period costume and contribute to the festivals atmosphere, street theatre and fun antics. Join in the fun and festivities as Moondyne Joe and his gang re-enact various escapes throughout the town, his arrests and mock trials while being a general menace. With FREE entry and entertainment all day, the Toodyay comes alive with colour, sound, song, dance and laughter.

 

Toodyay Fibre Festival

Stirling Terrace & Community Hall, Toodyay
Sunday 4th June 2017

Enjoy Fashion Shows, musical entertainment, spinners demonstration, fibre & textile art displays and the Mad Hatters Tea Party, craft and quilting displays by the Toodyay Ragbags. Come down to  the park and watch “Sydney or the Bush Outback Heritage Show” along with Animal Displays with fibre & textile stalls along the main street. The Mad Hatters competition will be judged informally during the course of the day so start creating those Mad Hats to show off your creative talents.

 

Avon Descent & International Food Festival

Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th August 2017

The Avon Descent is the world’s longest white water event held over two days starting Saturday with the Northam to Cobblers Pool (20km out of Toodyay) leg, then Cobblers Pool to Bayswater in Perth on the Sunday.

On Sunday 5th enjoy a spectacular view of the world famous Avon Descent with delicious food and FREE all day family entertainment on the banks of the Avon!
